Area

Last update.: 22/05/2020

This part of the system is simply to determine a particular sector. It can be divided by neighborhoods, special areas in the network, or where there is currently no service. It delimits a particular sector within the map. In this sector the user enters the name that they want to put to it and a brief "Area" description to distinguish it.

Once the format has been defined, the trace configuration is carried out by pressing the "Add" key.

To delimit the area on the map, we must first select the "Add" button. Once this is selected, a screen will appear, where we will be able to see the map to enter our Area.

Area loading screen.

The first thing that will appear on the screen is the possibility of adding a new area to the map. Where we enter a Name and its Description. As we can see below in the image.

 Loading data for the Area.

The user has the option to configure the style of the stroke that will appear as a drawing on the map; you can modify its thickness, the width of the stroke; its color to distinguish different types of fiber optics; the opacity of the stroke, to see how opaque it looks in the drawing. And the same for the filling of this, its opacity and its color.

Once the format has been defined, the trace configuration is made by pressing the "OK" key.

Following this, what we are going to do is create our Area. Here, what we are going to do, on the map, is to choose a point first of all. Once chosen, we click on that point. When you click, a red drop will appear, delimiting the first point of our area. From this, we define the sector that we are going to delimit. We continue with a second click, on another different point, forming a figure on the map; We continue like this until we see the drawing we want to achieve. Once completed, the drawing of our area is shown on the map. We can see below an example of an Area already drawn on the map.

At the end of the drawing, and once we are satisfied with it, we will proceed to select the "Accept" button, and thus our area will be entered on the map. In the event that we do not agree, or we want to eliminate something from what was previously done; either a section of the line, or the entire line; The system will provide us with two options. One of them is the DELETE option, which deletes only one trace of what has been done, and if not, there is the DELETE ALL option, which deletes all the entered trace at once.

Finally, once the entry of the new area is finished, the user must proceed to press the OK button. By accepting, you will be entered into the list of System Areas. In the Area, there is also the option of the view on the map, as user preference. It is more than anything to take it into account when loading the trace, taking into account different details on the map. The different types that we can find are: Normal, Satellite, Hybrid, and Terrain. Below we will detail each of them.

Image of the different views of the map.

Normal: Map mode. Here you can only see the names of streets, outstanding places, rivers and green spaces.

NORMAL view

Satellite: It is the visual representation of the information captured by a sensor on an artificial satellite. They are images provided by Google, and they are real.

SATELLITE view

Hybrid: Where the map is seen in detail, it combines aerial views with other services such as photographs. Here you can see every detail of the city or sector that we want to visualize.

HYBRID view

Terrain: Here you can see the variables on the ground, such as the highest terrains on the map and the lowest.

LAND view.
