OLT

Last update.: 22/05/2020

The OLT ("Optical Line Terminal") is equipment used in FTTx networks as a customer center. Its function is to distribute access to each subscriber on the network and can perform tasks such as: management, access control, bandwidth control, service configuration and others.

The different types of OLTs approved in the "ConsciusMAP" system appear in the OLT list, which we have added to the system.

To add a new OLT, select the "Add" button and then a screen will appear where you must fill in the OLT information, such as the model, the map location, the access IP, the host name, the SNMP v2 community, the user ssh and the password "sharedsecret" for the OLT to register on the Radius, as follows:

Once you have added the OLT, you can edit it if you change any information, delete the record, and there is an option to connect the "Trunk Ring" fiber to the OLT GPON port.

Grant the Trunk Ring to the GPON port:

Select the "Connect" option, select the "Trunk Ring" cable, select the Trunk fiber to connect the GPON port.

IMPORTANT: If you make an incorrect connection, when trying to apply the profile to an ONU (in “User List> User> ONU”), the created profile will not appear to select it.
