Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) is the most common name for pay television signal subscription distribution systems, using broadband connections over the IP protocol. It is often supplied together with the Internet connection service, provided by a broadband operator on the same infrastructure, but with reserved bandwidth. It is not Online TV, it is TV over IP (not to be confused with TV OTT / Online), so quality is guaranteed by the operators, reserving part of their bandwidth to provide television services.
